InVision made its name helping design teams create the world’s best digital products. We broadened our impact as a thought leader guiding organizations toward design maturity. We explored new territory by bringing those two streams together and pioneering visual collaboration. Now we’re taking what we've learned and built, and expanding our reach to designers and non-designers alike.

InVision is the visual collaboration platform powering the world’s best companies. The heart of InVision is Freehand, our online digital whiteboard. We built Freehand to transform the way people work together. Transformation is a bold term, but we stand by it. So do our users from Amazon, Anthem, and American Express. And that’s just the A’s. We are trusted by 100% of the Fortune 100 because we understand that collaboration is about more than just seeing each other - it’s about fueling each other. More than 7 million people across global enterprises and small teams come to us when they are looking to transform the way they work together. InVision’s platform, education, and community enable businesses to work across distances and disciplines to unlock the expertise of every team member and deliver powerful business results.

What sets Freehand apart is not a thousand specialized bells and whistles for power-users. What is special about Freehand is the way it puts people at ease, encourages their creativity, and elevates their individual voice so that every member of a team can contribute meaningfully. Freehand is designed to be intuitive, inclusive, versatile, and enterprise ready. It is refreshingly simple, but surprisingly robust.

We’re on a mission to transform the way people work together by helping them collaborate better. On anything. From anywhere.

We are shaping the future of work.

Come join us.

Our team is in search of a Lead Analytics Engineer to help us change the way people collaborate digitally. You will work closely with our Data Science, Data Engineering, Engineering, and Product teams to create analytics-friendly data sets, remove bottlenecks to high-level analytics, and empower all end data users to efficiently answer their questions. Our goal is to use data to drive strategy and decision-making, and your work will help us to do this more effectively and accurately.

About the Team:

You will be joining our Data Science team and have the chance to make a large impact at InVision. Our Data Science team is part of a broader, cross-functional Insights team, combining qualitative and quantitative research to answer questions holistically. As a member of this team you’ll collaborate most closely with our Data Scientists, to identify upcoming data needs and enhance existing datasets or build new ones to fill those needs.

Your work will support our very data-driven Product Managers and Data Scientists to identify key metrics, conduct rigorous analyses, and deliver novel insights to empower decision-making. You will be a trusted partner in the team tackling the toughest and most impactful analytical problems.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as a critical partner to Data Engineering and Data Science - collaborating closely with senior leadership across Product, Engineering, and Design
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team to build, maintain, and support an ecosystem of analysis-friendly datasets and dashboards
  • Work closely with Data Scientists to identify upcoming data needs, create standards for logging, all to ensure that we can accurately quantify users’ experience of our product
  • Collaborate with, and aid, the Data Science team to build scalable, efficient, reproducible analyses
  • Contribute to comprehensive documentation of tools and datasets

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of hands-on data experience; manipulating, modeling, and transforming data sets to answer analytics questions
  • A passion for and track record of leveraging data for business impact
  • At least 3+ years of experience in a similar role analyzing large scale data, using both SQL and Python
  • Experience with ETL, data modeling, and data infrastructure management.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL dialects on distributed or data lake systems - in particular experience with Data Build Tool (dbt)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex problems for non-technical stakeholders and build great working relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with basic statistical models and experimentation techniques
  • BA/BS or Master’s in quantitative field preferred

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience with a SaaS or design-forward software company
  • Experience with predictive models and more advanced statistical techniques
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL orchestration, and schema design
