In Growth Marketing, we merge creative thinking and quantitative strategy to drive consumer growth across Calm. Within our org, Lifecycle is a significant driver of conversions, retention and engagement as we help our members develop, prioritize and maintain habits for their mental health. As a member of the Growth Marketing team, focused on Marketing Ops and Analytics for Lifecycle, you’ll help uncover the data that guides the strategies for journeys and campaigns through channels like email, push and direct mail. We pride ourselves in making decisions that are guided by data, and coming up with efficient and creative solutions to complex problems. 

What You’ll Do:

The Lifecycle Marketing Operations & Analytics Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining the analytics and reporting for the Lifecycle team. You will own all things reporting end-to-end, from gathering data, constructing the reports, to drawing conclusions, surfacing customer insights and next steps to provide clarity on Lifecycle’s contributions to the overall business OKRs. You will work closely with the Senior Lifecycle Managers to provide data analytics support for their tests and initiatives to determine tactical strategy. You will also partner with the Lifecycle Technical Lead and the Data Science Team to create systems to gather data and share insights and findings.

  • Build and maintain foundational Lifecycle reporting and dashboards to analyze campaign performance, customer insights, and overall email marketing contribution to Growth OKRs, including subscriber engagement, paid subscription growth and company revenue.
  • Evaluate and analyze incrementality and cost efficiency of Lifecycle campaigns; determine key drivers of favorable customer behaviors.
  • Provide analytics support for all A/B tests run by the Lifecycle team and draw insights to shape tactical strategy.
  • Build campaign infrastructure including but not limited to establishing naming framework, tagging systems etc.
  • Create monitoring and alerting systems to flag anomalies such as a drop in sends, engagement, conversions, etc.
  • Own Lifecycle data to ensure data integrity and cleanliness. Partner with Data Science and Data Engineering teams to take necessary steps to resolve if discrepancies and issues are found.
  • Partner with the broader lifecycle team to develop and communicate clear campaign strategy and present performance and customer insights to cross functional stakeholders and leaders.

Who You Are:

  • At least 2+ years of experience in running analytics for a digital marketing team, specifically in email
  • Expert in SQL
  • Proficient in Amplitude, Tableau, Mode or equivalent BI visualization software
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal
  • Extremely strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Curious, enthusiasm and passion for quality
  • Proactive and will take initiative when things don’t get resolved
  • Project management; ability to juggle multiple aspects of a project at once
  • Desire to build reporting infrastructure and take ownership of data quality

Nice-to-Haves: 

  • Prior experience working at a subscription app and/or content app, lifecycle or email analytics experience, etc.
