About the job
The Machine Learning Engineer will be a coding superstar that will help the data team ensure scalability of our model ecosystem. You will be working closely with the Head of Data Science and other key functional groups to help realize the data science strategy and vision which supports Banjo Health’s overall goal of reducing the burden of prior authorizations. You will do this by combining your knowledge of data science and software engineering to help develop models and transform data science experiments into production grade systems.
Requirements
Position responsibilities:
Enforce software development and documentation best practices.
Assist in building pre-processing algorithms and machine learning models.
Analyze, design, program and debug software improvements.
Tackle problems related to performance, efficiency and scalability.
Write and maintain robust, efficient, and testable code using design patterns, object orientation, and machine learning frameworks.
Work together with team mates on code reviews, knowledge share, model development, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Expert knowledge of Python, especially Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and TensorFlow.
Experience establishing and managing applications in cloud computing environments (Azure preferred).
Experience establishing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Working knowledge of statistical methods, machine learning or text mining.
Knowledge of software design for data science.
Knowledge of Docker containerization and Kubernetes/EKS cluster management.
Dynamic, collaborative, and entrepreneurial spirit with a “get it done” mentality.
High growth company and/or startup experience is strongly preferred.
Bonus points if you have direct experience working within a payer on utilization management or an organization supporting payers on utilization management.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Masters and/or Doctoral degree is a plus.
