Would you like to lead a high-visibility team of Data & Analytics talent who are helping Hasbro better reach consumers with compelling products and entertainment? We have an opportunity for a Data Engineering Manager to join our Data & Analytics team!

In this role, you will provide technical leadership to our data engineering practice, implementing the roadmap for the Analytics Platform and delivering a data and analytics solution that will allow your business partners to make successful, timely, data-driven decisions.

A day in the life of a Data Engineering Manager:

  • Lead the data engineering team by driving the design, build, test, and launching of new data pipelines, data models, and predictive models on our production data platform.
  • Define and implement the processes needed to achieve operational excellence in all areas, including software engineering, agile delivery, and data solution reliability.
  • Collaborate with business product owners for roadmap planning and prioritization, to deliver robust cloud-based data solutions that drive powerful experiences to our analytics community.
  • Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community.
  • Manage vendor relationships with key data and analytics service providers and provide budget recommendations necessary to fulfill ongoing projects and ongoing support.

What you’ll bring:

  • 5-7 years of demonstrable experience in data engineering, analytics, data warehousing, data management.
  • 1-2 years in a leadership role, responsible for the direct oversight of a team of data engineers where you oversaw day-to-day activities, attained delivery metrics and provided technical coaching to staff.
  • Solid experience with cloud-based data tools and platforms (Azure preferred, Google or AWS are fine).
  • Deep hands-on experience using databases and related technologies in a fast-paced business environment with large-scale and complex datasets including design and optimize queries, create data structures, and develop data models.
  • Outstanding customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, prioritize, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet bold timelines with optimal solution.
  • Be comfortable with building effective cross-team collaborative working relationships with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field (Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, related technical field) advanced degree/MBA preferred.

This position may be based in our office in Pawtucket, Rhode Island or may be fully remote.
