In the Clinical vertical of Availity, our mission is to make clinical data more universally accessible and actionable, resulting in automated workflows that drive a more effective, delightful patient and provider experience. The Clinical Solutions platform facilitates the acquisition of clinical data via trading partners and direct provider connections, real-time normalization and enrichment of data to align to industry standard terminologies and formats and use case-based activation of data to drive downstream consumption and value realization. Customer use cases powered by the Clinical Solutions platform include: HEDIS and quality measurement, risk adjustment, population health analytics, enterprise interoperability and FHIR enablement, claims adjudication, and authorizations. For quality and risk care gap workflows, the platform also enables payer-provider information exchange to streamline gap closure and acquisition of supplemental clinical documentation via Availity’s Essentials Portal. The platform more broadly serves customers across multiple markets, including Payers, HIT vendors, Health Information Exchanges, and Government entities.

The Clinical Data & Insights product team is a team of data experts within the Clinical business impassioned about making clinical data more useful and specifically focused on the extraction of insights about clinical data usability and the clinical workflows that matter most to our payer-provider customer base. This team is motivated to help the industry realize the potential of clinical data by helping customers:

Understand large, complex sets of clinical data. Use clinical data across downstream use cases, including but not limited to quality reporting, risk adjustment suspecting, care gap closure, and population health analytics, to improve outcomes. More effectively communicate with data sources, provider networks, and other healthcare organizations to reduce waste and maximize ROI.

The Clinical Data & Insights product team is responsible for defining the product strategy, roadmap, and success for features within the portfolio. This includes managing market research, roadmap planning, external customer feedback sessions, impact and value measurement, and managing Product Owners. There are a number of critical data analytics and reporting features managed by the Clinical Data & Insights team, including:

Clinical data quality dashboard, which measures the completeness and quality of customer data from various providers and sources. Data extracts, which organize vast amounts of clinical data into consumable formats for downstream HEDIS, risk adjustment, and population health reporting. Operational reporting, which provides internal and external visibility into the performance and impact of our solutions.

The Product Manager, Data Analytics & Reporting will manage across these key features to define a holistic analytics and reporting product strategy that improves internal efficiency and customer value by optimizing current offerings and defining a path to solve new customer problems.
