Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing Scientist I who is passionate about using cutting edge technology to solve unique problems. You will focus on developing our measurement best practices and methodology for measuring marketing impact and connecting the dots between online and offline consumer behavior. You will enable our clients to better understand how the consumer is responding to digital and print advertising signals. The ideal candidate is innately curious about how data can be used to tell a story and inform decisions.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with various data sources and programming tools to set up, monitor, and measure offline sales impact; Use statistical methods and tools to set up test/control environments for measurement; Monitor performance of all live campaigns, making optimizations as needed; Compile relevant data from many sources to produce end of campaign reporting including sales or traffic lift, incremental sales, audience profiles, etc.
- Maintain external data vendor and client relationships to ensure on time delivery of critical measurement data; Monitor and quality check all incoming data used for measurement; Work to understand and facilitate the use of new data sources in the measurement process
- Work to refine and develop new measurement products, methodologies, and workflows; Contribute to the development new features for existing measurement products
- Apply your knowledge of various measurement methodologies (such as regression analysis, p-values, etc.)
Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree in math, economics, statistics, behavioral science, or similar quantitative field. (Required)
EXPERIENCE
- 0 - 2 years Relevant Experience in analytics experience (Required)
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Ability to conduct analyses with direction/supervision
- Desire to for continuous learning
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask and deliver results to key stakeholders
- Experience in Python, R, SQL, SAS, STATA or other programming language
- Experience using analytical or statistical techniques (eg., t-test, ancova, regression)
- Experience working with 1st or 3rd party datasets
- Prefer domain knowledge in CPG, retail, and/or marketing technology industries
- Prefer familiarity with experimental design or AB testing
- Prefer prior experience delivering analytical presentations
EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE UTILIZED
- Desktop publishing programs
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Python, SQL
- Tableau
- Knowledge of Spark or Hadoop is a plus
Additional Information
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities
