As a People Analytics Lead, you’ll support FedEx Dataworks as a thought leader, applying people analytics and data to our business and people challenges, priorities and goals. You’ll apply your deep expertise and breadth of experience while partnering closely with various stakeholders within the business and the People Team to provide actionable insights that enable leaders to make informed business decisions, with a focus on keeping our company principles, policies/compliance, quality, accuracy, privacy and the employee experience at the forefront.


  • Help lead the development and implementation of the strategy and vision of People Analytics as a new organization and function
  • As a Lead, empower a team of People Analytics professionals who research, produce insights and theories that enable our business to make data-informed, proactive decisions
  • Champion the education, value and use of people analytics and insights within the business and People team by demonstrating an ability to tell the story of data and reports
  • Generate ideas and path to future growth of the People Analytics team
  • Integrate and apply innovative data driven techniques and methods across the business and various functions to bridge business concerns, challenges and priorities to actionable, value-added insights, and effectively tell the story of data and reports
  • As a thought leader, develop, own and implement People key performance indicators and other elements of our “People Health”
  • Exercise familiarity with and have the ability to query data, present and visualize data, perform data research and transformation and model development
  • Manage large data sets and complex queries to address a business that changes and grows rapidly to enable our leaders to forecast the future
  • Create and present research and data-driven insights to various audiences
  • Provide advanced analytics insights through technologically powered data visualizations
  • Create and own a plan for data storage, reporting and auditing by internal and external entities
  • Communicate complex data insights to non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner
  • Design and implement people analytics processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Ability to use statistical methods and models to analyze data and make predictions
  • Ability to use machine learning algorithms to build predictive models


Skills/knowledge Considered a Plus:

  • Experience utilizing PowerApps and PowerBi to create dashboards and visualize data
  • Experience in and familiarity with Microsoft Azure including AzureML
  • Experience in HRIS systems, Workday preferred
  • Background with Python/SQL/Synapse
  • A strong knowledge of HR practices and the employee lifecycle\


Minimum Requirements:
People Analytics III:
Bachelor’s Degree and Five (5) years’ experience in HR in an analysis-focused role or Master's Degree/equivalent and Three (3) years of experience in HR in an analysis-focused role, organization consulting or business-related experience. Experience in research design, visualization techniques, and analysis approaches to manage and analyze both structured and unstructured data. Excellent communication skills and editing for knowledge transfer and skill development; Collaborates with key stakeholders and management to help write and develop both technical and non-technical content. Strong oral, written communication and relationship building skills. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.

People Analytics Lead:
Bachelor’s Degree and Five (7) years’ experience in HR in an analysis-focused role or Master's Degree/equivalent and Three (5) years of experience in HR in an analysis-focused role, organization consulting or business-related experience. Experience in research design, visualization techniques, and analysis approaches to manage and analyze both structured and unstructured data. Excellent communication skills and editing for knowledge transfer and skill development; Collaborates with key stakeholders and management to help write and develop both technical and non-technical content. Strong oral, written communication and relationship building skills. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.

People Analytics Principal:
Master's Degree/equivalent. Seven (7) years of HR in an analysis-focused role, organization consulting or business-related experience. Experience in research design, visualization techniques, and analysis approaches to manage and analyze both structured and unstructured data. Excellent communication skills and editing for knowledge transfer and skill development; Collaborates with key stakeholders and management to help write and develop both technical and non-technical content. Strong oral, written communication and relationship building skills. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.

Domicile Information:
This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. 
The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.

Additional Information
Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, California, Rhode Island and Washington Residents Only - Compensation: Monthly Salary: $8,833.00 - $12,750.00. This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include but are not limited to your specific skills, your work location, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
