Job Summary

Farmers Group (Warwick, RI) seeks a Predictive Analyst II to work in the research area within the Countrywide Product Management department. Specific duties include: develop and implement advanced analytics and predictive modeling solutions to improve business processes, generate insights, and support business goals and strategy development, using enterprise-caliber data science tools and predictive and statistical models; perform datamining from various sources; identify and integrate new datasets that can be leveraged to improve product, validate data accuracy, and verify data quality to ensure consistent use across the business; develop, deploy and maintain predictive models and monitor model performance to identify opportunities to improve business profitability and operational efficiency across Property & Casualty business; collaborate with stakeholders in different functions to define data collection and analysis requirements and establish adequate business understanding to provide effective analysis; evaluate new technologies, vendors, and cloud services to further strengthen business; and develop new modeling techniques and tools for analytics and reporting. Option to work remotely is available.

Position requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Statistics, or a closely related field of study, plus 2 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Research Consultant, or similar position performing descriptive data analysis, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data processing position. Must have 2 years of experience performing descriptive data analysis, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data processing. Specific experience must also include: performing descriptive, statistical and predictive data analysis to address real business problems; implementing new programs and initiatives, using SQL, SAS, Python, and R; processing large datasets from different sources for reporting; and working with the following software: Tower Watson Emblem, ArcGIS, and IBM SPSS Modeler.
