Principal Analyst, Analytics & Insights

This role will build develop and deploy data analytics at enterprise-scale, developing and deploying innovative solutions on behalf of our internal customers and external partners. The right candidate for this position will bring a good balance between technical and soft skills as well as a strong understanding of data and data management. Detailed job responsibilities include:

In this role, you will: 

  • Independently drive the end-to-end process of analytics from requirements gathering, to data collection, to SQL scripting, and finally to reporting, visualization and presentation.

  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative datasets to generate actionable recommendations for cross-functional teams. 

  • Synthesize large volumes of data and complex concepts into clear, accessible learnings.

  • Develop clear, compelling visualizations and automated dashboards that help us extract key insights and understanding of our products and customers. Iterate and improve upon metrics and visualizations over time. 

  • Deliver insights backed by your investigations.

  • Communicate with internal and external partners, both technical and not, to define appropriate data, reports, visualizations and dashboards that are integral to decision making.

  • Communicate and cultivate the business value of data projects and products to relevant stakeholders, including business and technology leaders. Increase the adoption and consumption of data platform capabilities.

  • Understand the business goals and be able to select and define metrics to fit those goals. 

  • Ensure data quality through documentation and providing quality assurance of delivered insights.

  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships across the company (revenue, product, operations, engineering teams, etc.) to answer business questions.

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional delivery team of data architects, data analysts, technology and business leaders to defining roadmaps, requirements, and solutions.   

·       Develop and curate a roadmap for analytics projects, using input from consumers and Senior Leaders, and plan enhancements and improvements.  

  • Hold oneself accountable for contribution goals.

Required Qualifications 

  • Master’s Degree or PHD in economics, business, engineering or quantitative discipline

  • 7+ years of relevant data analytics experience, and /or consulting roles in Financial Services or Consulting company is preferable.

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL; able to write structured and efficient queries on data sources.

  • Previous experience presenting data to business stakeholders using data analytics tools, such as Microstrategy, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, QuickSight, Excel etc.

  • Experience with charting/visualizing data and creating dashboards.

  • Demonstrated experience handling multiple projects with competing priorities 

  • Familiarity with, and experience working with, statistical methods in languages like R or Python.

  • Excited to collaborate with a high-energy team of contributors. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communicator

  • Self-motivated individual with strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with an ability to transition from in-the-weeds details to high-level insights.

  • Ability to use constructive and candid dialogue to influence others without relying on formal authority.

  • A willingness to be flexible, prioritizing problems that are most important, and using the most appropriate tools.

  • Takes a measured and thoughtful approach to difficult situations.

  • An ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

PAY RANGE

The targeted base salary for this position is $109,200 to $166,800 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
