JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a remote position.
The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for delivering monthly enterprise data and analytics dashboard reporting to accounting, finance, supply chain, operations, and marketing including but not limited to: top key metrics, operational analytics, fraud analytics, and risk profile etc. This position will also perform data analysis and reporting tasks, both scheduled and unscheduled, to support enterprise data and analytics activities. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who is able to deliver high quality work within tight deadlines. This role also requires learning overall business operations to provide relevant reporting/metrics and recommendations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting and Presentation
Maintain company-wide key metrics (KPIs and KRIs)
Produce all relevant monthly dashboard reporting in a timely manner
Translate data into actionable presentations and reports
Project management and report writing with accountability for established deadlines
Reporting Automation
Leading the identification and implementation of data analytics opportunities
Automate recurring reports and drive process improvement using appropriate technologies
Provide support with database queries and analytics capability for enterprise wide data & reporting
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, technical, or financial discipline required.
Masters in similar field a plus.
Three (5) years’ experience in a business intelligence / analytics role preferred
Proficient experience in MS SQL and creative thinking skills to develop SQL queries.
Previous experience using BI software packages, Micro-Strategy preferred (or other industry-tools e.g. Tableau, Business Objects, etc.
Strong expertise utilizing advanced functions in spreadsheet (Excel), database (Access) and data extraction (query) software.
Must be able to critically evaluate business problems/requirements and translate into analytical exercises and actionable insights
Proactive work style used to consistently communicate project status, issues and completion plans.
