The Principal Data Scientist will focus on and deliver innovative solutions driven by exploratory data analysis from unstructured, diverse data sources. S/he will apply knowledge of statistics, machine learning, programming, data modeling, simulation, and advanced mathematics to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries leading to prototype development and product improvement.

Using a flexible, analytical approach to design, develop, and evaluate predictive and prescriptive models and advanced algorithms that lead to optimal value extraction from the data. Works with analytics and statistical software such as Python (Keras Tensorflow, Pytorch), SQL, R, Hadoop and others applicable tools to perform analysis and interpret data.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Focus on innovation and helping to move the organization forward with algorithms to optimize business decisions

  • Developing, Implementing machine learning models to support and improve healthcare operations

  • Ability to understand business problems and define solution options

  • Profile Data and assess quality of data and source

  • Develop solution summaries and present findings from business leaders to engineering teams

  • Managing the model environment including development, implementation, validation and recalibration

  • Supporting business partners to develop use cases, opportunity statements and hypothesis

  • Training models (supervised and unsupervised) and

  • Providing technical expertise on data algorithms, data mining, and modeling

  • Work closely with Architecture and Engineering teams to implement solutions using analytical models

  • Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques

  • Developing and implementing strategies to support business optimization
