The Role

We are seeking a visionary and adaptable Researcher/Data Scientist who can successfully work at the intersection of three distinct research domains: UX Research, Marketing Research, and Data Science. In this role, you will merge technical acumen with imaginative thinking to craft innovative methodologies that harness the collective power of these disciplines. As a vital member of our team, you will reshape how we comprehend and cater to our customers by transcending conventional practices and leveraging cutting-edge technology and data science advancements.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Holistic Research Approach: Develop an integrative research framework merging UX, Marketing, and Data Science realms, fostering comprehensive insights into customer behaviors, preferences, and industry trends. 
  • Qualitative Mastery: Employ strategic, generative qualitative research techniques, including unstructured interviews, contextual inquiry, and ethnography, to unearth nuanced insights and inspire inventive solutions. 
  • Synergistic Methodologies: Implement mixed methods research strategies, harmonizing qualitative and quantitative approaches to distill a panoramic understanding of user behaviors and market dynamics. 
  • Data-Driven Creativity: Utilize machine learning and data science methodologies to unveil patterns, extract actionable insights, and forecast trends that steer strategic decision-making. 
  • Technical Agility: Harness the power of Python or R proficiency to execute machine learning, statistical analysis, data manipulation, and visualization, elevating the depth and quality of research outcomes. 
  • Innovation Catalyst: Continuously explore emerging technology and data science breakthroughs, infusing imaginative research approaches that align with our business objectives. 
  • Storytelling Imagination: Use storytelling to create compelling narratives and powerful data visualizations, turning complex data into inspirational and actionable insights for our teams. 
  • Collaborative Leadership: Forge strong collaborations with cross-functional teams, encompassing UX designers, marketers, and data scientists, to seamlessly communicate research insights and contribute to a unified vision. 
     

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • Proficiency in at least two of the following areas:  
    • Strategic/generative qualitative research 
    • Mixed methods research 
    • Machine learning and data science 
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving aptitude, adept at deriving actionable insights from intricate data. 
  • Imagination and inventiveness to conceive novel solutions to intricate business challenges. 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for conveying research findings and their implications. 
  • Proven proficiency in Python or R for machine learning, statistical analysis, and data visualization. 
  • Experience in UX Research, Marketing Research, and/or Data Science. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Psychology, Sociology, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Master's degree in a relevant field. 
  • Track record of integrating diverse research methodologies for strategic insights. 
  • Familiarity with advanced data visualization techniques and tools. 
  • Demonstrated application of creative thinking to research methodologies, yielding innovative solutions. 
  • Contributions to relevant industry conferences or journals.
