The Skills Transformation consulting team advises businesses, governments and universities on the skills of the future & helps them to use the Coursera content to develop their organization’s skills. In this individual contributor role you will be the resident data expert in the America's consulting team. Working alongside our Sales and Customer Success teams, you will advise CDOs / CIOs and senior data leads on the data skills of the future and help them to design learning programs to transform their businesses.
In addition, you will help to influence Coursera’s go-to-market strategy (for data buyers), develop thought leadership on future data skills & support Coursera’s marketing activities (e.g. presenting at conferences / webinars etc.). As you contribute to building the data capabilities of our consulting team, we will help you to learn about the broader skills of the future, so you can advise customers on other topics as well (e.g. business, technology, leadership and management etc.)

Responsibilities:
- Be the data expert in the Skills Transformation consulting team, acting as a senior advisor to business prospects / customers on data skills of the future
- Meet with prospects / customers, in partnership with our Sales and Customer Success teams, to translate their data learning needs into curricula on Coursera
- Become an expert in Coursera’s course catalogue, in order to recommend the right Coursera courses to develop skills
- Build the data capabilities of the global Skills Transformation consulting team to scale our data-related services
- Influence Coursera’s go-to-market strategy (for data buyers), develop thought leadership on data skills & support Coursera’s marketing activities (e.g. conferences, webinars etc.)
- Become an expert in the broader skills of the future (e.g. business, technology, leadership & management) to support a wide range of customer conversations
Basic Qualification:
- 7+ years of business experience with 4+ years of experience as a data scientist, machine learning engineer, software engineer, Solutions Architect (in a data related field), Technical Consultant, or Partner/Sales Engineer
- Experience in data science methodologies, programming languages, Cloud Computing solutions & machine learning frameworks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Deep interest in online education and an abiding belief in its ability to transform lives
- Experience in client-facing roles (e.g. management consulting), particularly able to communicate with technical and business audiences / clients
- Understand of emerging data technologies
- Experience shaping strategy / supporting digital transformation
- An ability to quickly become an expert in new topic areas like business, leadership, software engineering and cybersecurity
- Strong executive presence and ability to present your work to external stakeholders including C-suite representatives
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and creative-problem solving abilities
