Senior Advisor, Data Management & Governance

Cardinal Health’s Pharma Commercial Enablement is the organization designed to improve our seller’s focus and effectiveness by leveraging scale, process improvement, clarity of accountability and speed to support and service the internal sales teams and external customers. This role will reside in the Commercial Solutions & Analytics pillar of Commercial Enablement.  Our mission is to deliver insights derived from analytics to the frontline and other managers/executives to inform the best commercial actions.

What Data Management and Governance contributes to Cardinal Health

This role is critical for the success of supporting our sales organizations and delivering best in class services and insights related to our Go-to-Market process Cardinal Health customers. The Sr. Advisor will work across multiple classes of trade to deploy and evolve activities such as commercial business performance measurement, sales tracking, measuring sales force effectiveness, and building training to improve outcomes of the sales organization. Additionally, they will partner with other commercial teams to develop and implement methods that enhance account level profitability and reduce customer churn. In doing so, you will be required to develop a deep understanding of various metrics that are used to track and prioritize sales forces' efforts to grow profitably.

The Sr. Advisor will report into Director, Commercial Performance, Pharma Segment.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver commercial insights to the business stakeholders and the sales teams
  • Equip the business with timely insights to enable proactive customer engagement
  • Build consistent end to end commercial KPI’s and lead the delivery of insights across the pharmaceutical segment to improve visibility and decision making
  • Lead the efforts to develop a single view of sales pipeline by working closely with data and IT teams. This includes bringing historical as well as current transactional information to build profitability picture as well as measure the sales performance vs. the addressable market
  • Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals. Ensures employees operate within guidelines. 
  • Act as an advisor to the sales organization as they prospect and engage new customers to determine program qualifications and answer program specific questions to ensure sales teams can respond to customers clearly and expeditiously
  • Acquire, validate, standardize, enrich, protect and publish structured and unstructured data for use by the business

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field, preferred
  • 8-12 years of experience in commercial analytics or related field, preferred
  • Knowledge of Health Systems and Pharma segment, preferred
  • Knowledge of key information systems and tools such including SAS, SQL, SAP, Tableau, and MS Office, preferred
  • Experience leading matrixed, cross-functional teams and influencing change, preferred
  • Experience in building and managing complex, customer facing programs
  • Executive presence, customer engagement and presentation skills
  • Ability to recognize evolving trends and offer guidance related to their potential impact and solutions for seizing the opportunities

Anticipated salary range: $102,000 - $145,700
