Across it all, we’ve embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale.

The Role

The Growth Marketing Analytics team at Square is responsible for empowering decision making through the use of data and analytics by providing measurement strategies, reporting, and actionable insights to act upon. As a senior performance marketing analyst within the Growth Marketing Analytics organization, you will analyze performance marketing results, develop and socialize insights, and promote experimentation to identify growth opportunities. You will be the liaison between the performance marketing team and the analytics team to ensure we have proper measurement in place for all marketing spend. You will work closely with numerous stakeholder teams, including Marketing, Data Engineering, or Product Marketing to develop and maintain key measurement solutions. You will be eligible for remote employment.

You Will

  • Analyze and optimize our marketing investment across performance marketing channels
  • Develop campaign insights to evaluate marketing effectiveness and inform optimization and future go-to-market strategies and decisions
  • Keep a pulse on the latest measurement methodologies to measure efficacy of spend across all marketing channels
  • Work with channel and product marketing teams to establish campaign goals and develop cross-channel measurement plans to ensure results are measurable
  • Work with our analytics, ad operations, and data engineering teams to ensure measurement capabilities are in place before campaign execution
  • Provide regular reports on marketing performance, ensuring consistency accuracy with relevant insights

You Have

  • 5+ years of related experience evaluating marketing campaign effectiveness and performance analytics
  • Experience working for an agency or marketing department with an understanding of marketing strategy
  • Experience working with marketing measurement tools, including multi-touch attribution, media mix modeling, incrementality testing, matched market testing, and A/B testing
  • Expertise in marketing concepts and appropriate measurement capabilities across online and offline channels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication / presentation skills -- particularly when explaining technical matters to less technical partners and vice versa
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and optimization platforms
  • Experience maintaining complex spreadsheets, SQL, Python, and data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau
