The Senior Analyst, Operations Analytics will play an integral role on our Data Infrastructure and Performance (DIP) team within the broader Enterprise Applications and Technology (EAT) org. This person will initially dedicate the majority of their time to supporting our RevPro go live - including thoroughly understanding our current data flows and performing a variety of complex analyses to help us optimize and streamline over time.This role will be part data detective (gathering requirements, understanding the needs of the business and the intricacies of the source systems) and part creative problem solver (developing analyses and data models to meet our reporting needs, ensuring that data pipelines will adhere to requirements).

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

  • Partner with counterparts in various Finance, Accounting and Operations departments to produce the analyses, datasets and data models necessary to build and maintain key data pipelines create required reporting
  • Develop deep systemic knowledge of data from operational systems (eg CRM or ERP software) and strategies for continuous improvement of the reporting capabilities of that data
  • Prototype SQL queries to create datasets that support financial, operational, and revenue reporting needs
  • Partner closely with Data Engineers to architect and improve data  pipelines and develop/document robust automated QA on said pipelines
  • Build tools / dashboards to automate reporting and generate insights that will allow business leaders to quickly and accurately see how our products and processes are performing
  • Proactively identify areas outside the regular stream of business requests where analytics can add value - have that “canary in a coal mine” mentality when it comes to data

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or proven experience in these areas)
  • 3+ years professional experience in BI, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or similar role
  • Robust methods for QAing data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Strong SQL & data modeling skills
  • Advanced knowledge of ETL and data pipelining practices
  • Ability to and comfort with disambiguating stakeholder needs and requirements

Bonus Ingredients*
