Senior Analytics Engineer

Lightyear Health is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to help us build out the data that provides key visibility to our business partners  and helps our decision-makers monitor critical functions and make data-driven decisions.We are a healthcare technology startup that is changing what it means to age. By delivering accessible, proactive, specialty care to post-acute care facilities, our aging patients and their caregivers can live a life of dignity, fullness, and joy. Using our proprietary technology and expertise in complex care, our team collaborates with individuals, families, and caregivers to design personalized care plans that address the holistic needs of each patient.

To help us achieve our mission, we are looking to hire an Senior Analytics Engineer who is excellent at using data to deliver insights and envisions a world where every aging patient has access to the world’s best healthcare. This is a full-time remote role and will report to our Chief Data Officer.

As a key member of our Engineering, Product, and Data Science department, here’s what you’ll do:

Key Outcomes:

  • Analyze, report, and visualize data to empower operations and decision-making, both autonomously and in support of others.
  • Work cross-functionally to build out data pipelines for consumption by external business partners. 
  • Work autonomously to develop new schema and transforms within our Snowflake data warehouse in a robust and efficient way.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements for data requests.
  • Build expertise in the data requirements for the core areas of the business (Growth, Clinical Operations, Product, etc.), and recommend logical data investments.

The most important skills for the role are*:

  • 3+ years of experience as an analytics engineer, or directly relevant experience building data pipelines 
  • Experience performing analyses in an organization or a consulting environment that resulted in a direct impact on the business
  • Prior health care experience is preferred
  • Depth of experience in at least one dialect of SQL
  • Experience data modeling for analytical reporting
  • Experience using modern tools used in ETL development such as git, dbt and airflow. 
  • Experience with developing reporting in a business intelligence tool (ModeAnalytics, PowerBI, Sisense, Looker)

Compensation: 

We’re committed to an inclusive, consistent, and equitable approach to compensation and anticipate that this position will earn between $110,000 and $140,000 CAD or $130,000 – $160,000 USD annually. The exact salary will depend on (1) how many years of relevant and transferable experience you bring to the role and (2) the internal level at which you are hired in relation to our career development framework. Team members also receive meaningful equity in the form of a stock option grant.
