We are currently in search of a Senior Customer Insight Analyst to collect, analyze and report qualitative and quantitative datat to help our teams support their business goals. This position will play a key role in helping us better understand our customer segments, identify underlying trends, and produce insights that will guide our marketing efforts and help strengthen the relationship between our sales teams and their customers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage a portfolio of research studies from the design phase through results presentation to stakeholders
Design, manage, and deliver customer and consumer research and analysis to include actionable insights that informs key business decisions.
Respond to data inquiries by querying data from internal systems and providing structured usable data to stakeholders and leaders.
Conduct analysis on various customer satisfaction and consumer research data to allow the Director of Customer Insights to build plans for improvement for the Book Fairs organization.
Utilize and implement best practices and proven approaches for collecting qualitative and quantitative data, including but not limited to, transactional, behavioral, demographic, survey, and Voice of Customer feedback data.
Explore, adopt and produce visually appealing graphs and charts that allow a stakeholder to quickly consume data and observations.
Work closely with sales and marketing teams to leverage insights and data analysis to inform and develop effective campaign tactics, marketing communications, and brand positioning.
Monitor secondary sources for consumer trends, industry trends, category developments, and competitor marketing and research activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Strong analytical skills with 5-7 years of experience in market research/insights or data analytics
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to pull data using SQL or similar data mining software.
Strong interpretive skills and ability to quickly understand data, draw conclusions and structure analysis accurately and effectively to drive solid decision-making.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Demonstrated success collaborating, partnering and influencing at all levels and across all functions within an organization.
Ability to effectively communicate detailed and complex information to business unit stakeholders in a fluent, structured and cohesive manner.
Experience using a wide range of research software and tools (e.g., SPSS, Qualtrics, AllSight).
High proficiency in both univariate and multivariate statistical methods.
Ability to incorporate various statistical methods and analysis, including but not limited to multivariate regression analysis, TURF, random forest, decision tree or other advanced statistical methods.
Proficiency with programming surveys in Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Lime, or similar platforms is a plus.
Ability to think independently and creatively as well as demonstrated ability to work autonomously with little direction.
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree in research, analytics marketing, business, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent
Master’s degree in research, analytics, business administration, consumer behavior, marketing or equivalent preferred
