The result has been an industry that’s - on average - had their profit margins shrink by 5x over the past 20 years.

Bikky was founded on the belief that restaurants deserve the same access to data as the largest, most sophisticated businesses in the world. About the role

Bikky is a data product first and foremost. Our mission is to help restaurant operators use data to answer their hardest business questions. Unlike data roles that focus on internal analyses and dashboards, at Bikky you’ll work on building our core product. You’ll own projects end-to-end - from identifying questions we can help our customers answer, to designing visualizations, to data modeling within our data pipeline.

From a technical perspective, this role will span the full data stack and you’ll have the opportunity to flex your data engineering skills. For a typical project, you’ll take a raw dataset, model it in DBT, then use it to produce sophisticated analyses and visualizations. Your work will be deeply collaborative and multidisciplinary - you’ll blend product, design, data, and engineering to drive an exceptional outcome.

Alongside net new product development, you’ll work with the executive teams of our largest customers on custom analysis for their thorniest data challenges. We’ll often partner with our customers to experiment on new ways to explore restaurant data via one-off analyses, which we later generalize and productize.

Our data stack is Snowflake, DBT, and Python. Our web stack is Python (Django), Postgres, and React.

About you

Our data roles are unique; they’re product and customer facing, rather than internal facing. To meet that challenge, we’re looking for candidates with a breadth of experience, combined with excellent product and visualization design instincts. At Bikky, you’ll be given broad autonomy to pursue an end-to-end product outcome and we value candidates that can thrive in that environment.

The ideal candidate will have had experience:

• Building complex data pipelines from raw records to finalized models. 
• Working with business stakeholders to answer ambiguous questions using data.
• Translating data analyses into simple, clear, visualizations.
• Communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. 
• Managing multiple projects end-to-end with great attention to detail.

We’ll also look for:

• 4+ years of experience.
• Fluency in SQL, DBT; proficiency in Python.
• Strong statistical skills.
