Fern Health is seeking a Senior Data Analyst eager to collaborate with our team of engineers, product managers, client success managers, and clinicians who are developing innovative digital healthcare solutions for chronic pain. The Senior Data Analyst will manage user data to draw insights that guide Fern Health's business decisions. The role will provide data-driven insight across multiple disciplines to help answer key questions, define and track critical business metrics, and communicate findings to enable data-driven decision-making. This role will also be a key team member in the development of new products and features.
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will
- Work alongside product, engineering, clinical, and client success to leverage insights from the analysis of user data and provide recommendations that will develop new and existing products and features and support the business
- Support managers to create dashboards and generate insights to support standard and ad-hoc client reporting, SLA measurements, and overall program success measurements
- Partner with cross-department teams to collaborate on data strategy; ensure systems are capturing the data to support analytics needs
- Use SQL to query multidimensional and complex datasets from data warehouses (e.g. AWS Redshift, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Google BigQuery)
- Create dynamic and interactive reports or dashboards for internal and external use
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation and ensure proper data governance
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data analytics needs, set priorities, and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Troubleshoot issues and provide support for data sources and tools
If you have the following, let's talk:
- A BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or related field
- Minimum five years of data analyst experience
- Demonstrated ability to use data to draw insights, communicate them clearly, and help the business make decisions
- Progressive experience working independently and in collaboration with stakeholders
- Experience using SQL to query multidimensional and complex datasets from data warehouses (e.g. AWS Redshift, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Google BigQuery)
- A deep understanding of data visualization techniques and appropriate use cases
- Proficiency with statistical testing, modeling, and analysis using Python/R
- Experience providing self-service analytics using BI/data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)
- A methodical approach to solving problems with excellent attention to detail
Preferred qualifications incude:
- Experience at a startup technology company
- Experience at a digital healthcare company
- Experience using Business Intelligence tools (eg. Tableau)
- Familiarity with behavioral analytics tools (e.g. Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics)
- Familiarity with data ingest and ETL pipelines (AWS Lambda, Snowpipe, Snowplow)
