What will I be doing?
Master data management (MDM) involves crafting a single master record for each person, organization, property, or product in a business from across internal and external data sources and applications. Data governance and MDM are essential to our successful business practices as Hilton puts growing importance on data decisions in today’s global marketplace —and as a growing number of systems contribute digital records of the people, places, and things that matter most to a business.
As the Senior Data Analyst on the Enterprise Data Governance team, you will handle and maintain the processes surrounding our master data. This data is essential to our data science, operations, reporting, analytics teams, and the enterprise as a whole.
- Coordinate, maintain, and respond to incidents within Hilton’s Informatica Master Data Management Platform.
- Build and define data structures to house enterprise master data
- Develop data integration workflows and services to move data to and from our master data hub
- Coordinate with data stewards to ensure timeliness and accuracy of master data
- Define business process workflows, matching, cleansing, and data quality rules to address master data issues
- Problem-solve and capture requirements for unique master data edge cases, ensuring we address our customers and team members needs whilst aligning with industry-standard methodologies
- Analyze Hilton data sets to understand gaps and opportunities and assessing data quality
What are we looking for?
We seek someone who Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ability to break down complex problems into requisite parts and design efficient, scalable solutions. We believe the success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:
- Solid grasp of relational databases to write and understand complex SQL queries
- Proficiency with Master Data Management concepts, understanding what master data is and why it is meaningful to an enterprise.
- Experience with technical environments, with a solid understanding of database design and modeling, network connectivity, security, and scripting.
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
- Five (5) years of work experience in Technology or a related field
- Two (2) years working with Informatica’s product suite, including PowerCenter and Multidomain MDM Hub, Talend, or similar ETL tools
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus six (6+) years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus twelve (12+) years of Technology related experience
- Seven (7) years of work experience in Technology or a related field
- Four (4) years working with Master Data Management tools like Informatica, Tibco, Talend, Reltio, or similar
- Four (4) years spent working with Data integration tools such as Informatica, Pentaho, Talend, Alteryx, or similar
- Experience with batch, near real-time, and real-time data integration patterns, such as web services, APIs, and messaging queues
- Experience with relational data structures, modeling and defining tables and views to present hierarchical, recursive, and denormalized data to the enterprise
- Experience coding and/or scripting back end, data related workflows, and tasks in a language of your choice

For Colorado applicants only: The annual salary range for this role starts at $62,500 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Hilton offers its eligible team members a comprehensive benefits package including medical and prescription drug coverage, dental coverage, vision coverage, life insurance, short-and long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) savings plan, paid time off, and our travel discount.
