WHAT YOU'LL DO
We're looking for a talented Senior Data Consultant to join our Data Services Team. We work closely with our customers on various Braze data products (i.e. Currents, Snowflake Data Sharing, APIs) and help integrate these products with their existing ecosystem and help them drive their business KPIs. In addition, you’ll be working with several of the largest brands in the world through driving cross-functional alignment with the product, engineering, sales, and services organizations at Braze.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about data and prototyping and will have experience managing, scoping, and delivering technical projects, aligning stakeholders, working with Data Scientists and Data Engineers, and having top-of-the-line collaboration skills. You should have examples of tasks you’ve managed end-to-end from design to finished product. You should be great at managing your own time, breaking down complicated problems, troubleshooting, and rapidly iterating on a product.
Focus and Deliverables
- Work directly with customer data, marketing, and BI teams to understand their data needs.
- Work directly with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to accomplish customer-driven deliverables.
- Scaling capabilities focused on: executive reporting, driving growth, and data advocacy.
- Leverage data and automate decision-making for our customers
- Optimize internal processes to shorten customer time to value and other internal KPIs.
- Ideate and execute new areas of research
- Travel to Braze’s global offices and customer base to deliver presentations and provide data expertise on-site (up to 30% travel time).
WHO YOU ARE
- Degree in computer science, mathematics, business management, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience with Cloud Databases/Data Warehouses (Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery, etc.)
- 4+ years of experience in a customer-facing capacity (success, consulting or professional services teams)
- Experience working with web services (APIs) and various data structures (JSON, AVRO, Parquet, etc)
- Deep understanding of customer engagement technologies, cross channel campaign management, and the nature of multidisciplinary teams in the buying process
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a user-centric attitude.
- Experience working hand-in-hand with technical experts (Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers)
- High level of intellectual curiosity. You see opportunity and growth in learning more about what you do and how it impacts others.
Bonus:
- Masters degree in computer science, mathematics, or business management
- Experience working with data science Python packages (pandas, scikit-learn, etc)
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis)
- Experience in our stack - Looker, Snowflake, AWS, Kubernetes
- MarTech / AdTech / SAAS background in understanding tools and system adoption
- Ruby or Go knowledge
- Atlassian or other Project Tracking Software experience
