On the engineering team, you will:
Architect and build the data and analytics infrastructure that will power thousands of insurance policy portfolios and $100+ billion in gross premiums
Have a direct influence on user experience by building and maintaining APIs that power our user-facing applications
Democratize access to data within Ledger so that teams are able to collaborate efficiently and combine data in new and creative ways
Write and maintain data schema and API documentation that is concise, easy to understand, and redefines the way developers think about insurance data
Directly influence and introduce new engineering standards, tooling, and processes that help the team scale
About you:
Successful candidates will have the following attributes:
5+ years of experience as an engineer working on and building data infrastructure and ETL pipelines
Experience with designing and maintaining complex data schemas and data mapping strategies
Highly proficient in Python (e.g. Pandas, Jupyter or similar), SQL, and data wrangling tools
Experience with databases and various storage solutions (e.g. Postgres, S3 or similar)
Experience with data automation and ETL (e.g. Kubernetes, Terraform, and Airflow)
Take pride and responsibility in delivering features or applications from end to end
Give and receive meaningful and constructive feedback with your team
Think holistically about systems and services and how the play a role in the bigger picture
Thrive in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts
Are flexible and open minded when it comes to evolving processes and requirements
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration
Are a self-starter and able to work with minimal help from your teammates
