About the Team:

On the engineering team, you will:

  • Architect and build the data and analytics infrastructure that will power thousands of insurance policy portfolios and $100+ billion in gross premiums
  • Have a direct influence on user experience by building and maintaining APIs that power our user-facing applications
  • Democratize access to data within Ledger so that teams are able to collaborate efficiently and combine data in new and creative ways
  • Write and maintain data schema and API documentation that is concise, easy to understand, and redefines the way developers think about insurance data
  • Directly influence and introduce new engineering standards, tooling, and processes that help the team scale

About you:

Successful candidates will have the following attributes:

  • 5+ years of experience as an engineer working on and building data infrastructure and ETL pipelines
  • Experience with designing and maintaining complex data schemas and data mapping strategies
  • Highly proficient in Python (e.g. Pandas, Jupyter or similar), SQL, and data wrangling tools
  • Experience with databases and various storage solutions (e.g. Postgres, S3 or similar)
  • Experience with data automation and ETL (e.g. Kubernetes, Terraform, and Airflow)
  • Take pride and responsibility in delivering features or applications from end to end
  • Give and receive meaningful and constructive feedback with your team
  • Think holistically about systems and services and how the play a role in the bigger picture
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Are flexible and open minded when it comes to evolving processes and requirements
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration
  • Are a self-starter and able to work with minimal help from your teammates
