- Collaborate with data teams to understand infrastructure needs and provide best in class solutions.

- Partner with internal engineering stakeholders to maintain and operate batch and streaming data pipelines.

- Build cloud infrastructure automation to improve productivity and efficiency.

- Build metrics collection systems and dashboards for monitoring and troubleshooting.

Professional Experience/Background to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• 5 years of professional experience with 3 years of experience managing data and cloud platforms.
• Experience with distributed systems and frameworks such as Spark, Kinesis, Kafka, Hadoop, AWS EMR etc.
• Strong background in Linux.
• Experience in deploying and managing Business Intelligence tools such as Looker or Tableau.
• Experience in building and developing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with any of the SQL and NoSQL data stores such as S3, Redshift, Snowflake, Dynamodb etc.
• Experience with shell scripting and other scripting languages preferably Python.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code using AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation etc.
• Prefer hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes. 
• Prefer AWS Certification - Associate/Solution Architect

Expected Outcomes in 12 months:

• Develop automation for deployment, scaling, containerization, promoting serverless capabilities.
• Work with various teams to design and build an end-end-end DevOps focused on data platform.
• Improve data platform observability by utilizing custom metrics and integrations.
