Corvus is seeking a Product Manager who will assume ownership of our data-driven product initiatives for Corvus by partnering with our internal functional teams - Underwriting, Actuary, Sales, Claims, Finance & Engineering to serve data as a product.
You will lead our efforts to (i) deliver the necessary capabilities that will enable teams to easily access data insights, (ii) drive the consumption of data to deliver the best insurance product and experience for our external stakeholders (e.g., brokers and policyholders), (iii) measure usage and impact of data efforts in helping business stakeholders deliver on their OKRs, and (iv) craft the roadmap for the cloud based data platform based on strategic priorities, critical use cases, usage patterns and stakeholder feedback.
Responsibilities
Dive deep into our data needs across the organization owning the product outcomes while partnering directly with our design and engineering teams.
Decompose complex use cases and technical requirements into smaller manageable problems by creating and prioritizing with your team and key stakeholders
Build relationships with your users; understand user's processes and objectives; introduce new ways of doing things better, and solicit productive feedbackBe a voice for your internal customers by deeply understanding their needs, assessing what is most meaningful and ruthlessly prioritizing the work required to deliver business impact
Measure success of products and services of the Data Initiatives by continuously monitoring adoption metrics and driving towards the most effective and desired solutions
Evangelize data across the organization in order to build awareness of data across business and technical teams
What you’ll bring to the flock:
5+ years experience in product management preferably in a B2B data heavy environment.
3+ years of experience delivering insights through data and/or data focused solutions to your stakeholders.
Experience with identifying stakeholder needs, encapsulating needs into a product vision, translating requirements to product specifications, driving alignment with stakeholders, building and bringing products to market, and driving adoption post-launch
Experience with data analytics and modern cloud based warehouse and ETL platforms/tools such as Postgres, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, Fivetran, Looker, PowerBI
A successful track record of working cross-functionally to bring products to fruition and driving adoption of products
Solid understanding in Agile methodologies within a Product Development Lifecycle
Background in Insurance or a regulated industry a plus
