You will be responsible for improving the accuracy and usefulness of our organization's data, and the operational excellence of our data pipelines. As a Senior Data Quality Analyst, you'll have a solid understanding of data patterns and common error patterns, a natural curiosity to dig when you see something, and the ability to effectively communicate with your peers and leadership.

To be successful in this role you should have extensive knowledge of data analysis techniques, enjoy learning new data technologies, and be passionate about continuously improving the excellence of data and business processes. This role requires collaborating closely with data and engineering departments to implement effective automation processes and data updates so data can be mined for quality control and accuracy. Day to day activities include developing queries in Snowflake, dbt, Monte Carlo, analyzing data, developing tests to verify data pipelines and transformations are functioning to specification, monitoring and improving proprietary taxonomies, examining complex data and turning it into insights on the composition and quality of our data, monitoring database and pipelines for performance and quality control, and proactively identifying issues or ways to improve our data.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform tests on large datasets to determine data quality and integrity, and quickly identify data anomalies
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to improve data collection and maintenance processes
  • Coordinate with teams to design standards for data operations and data governance
  • Deliver data analysis insights to management to inform business decisions and prioritize needs
  • Document processes and maintain data records
  • Develop and implement test plans and scripts for automated data quality processes
  • Build and maintain manual and automated test scripts and recommend modification as per requirements

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Data Science, Management Science or commensurate experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in data quality analysis and data management
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Experience of best practices in data analysis and test methodologies for data pipelines and ETL
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, outstanding attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

This role will receive a competitive base salary, benefits, and equity. The applicable salary range for each US-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers based on the cost of labor for that geographic area. The expected salary ranges for this role are set forth below. 

Tier 1: $119,000 - $147,000

Tier 2: $107,100 - $132,300

Tier 3: $95,200 - $117,600

A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s leveling and compensation–including a candidate’s professional background and experience. These ranges may be modified in the future and final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above.
