The Analytics Team plays a vital role in shaping the future of PrizePicks by developing and maintaining cutting-edge analytics tools and workflows that empower every department within the organization. We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with 4+ years of experience to join our dynamic Data Science team. In this position, you will collaborate closely with fellow data scientists, reporting analysts, and cross-departmental leaders to evaluate business processes, provide strategic recommendations, and deliver innovative insights to our leadership team. Your contributions will be instrumental in driving revenue growth, enhancing marketing efficiency, and improving customer retention efforts. What you’ll do:

  • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets, focusing on user segmentation.
  • Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis, to gain valuable insights and inform the selection of relevant features to include in your clustering models.
  • Interact with the Marketing and Customer Insights teams to gather real user feedback to incorporate into your segmentation models.
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
  • Draw actionable insights from your models and interact with stakeholders to foster data-driven decisions.

What you have:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in developing scalable, production-level segmentation models.
  • Expertise in both supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques and methodologies.
  • Advanced understanding of machine learning, data analysis, and statistical modeling.
  • Proficiency in statistical software applications, particularly Python or R.
  • Experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

What makes you stand out:

  • Background in personalization or recommendation modeling.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and report-building tools.

Where you’ll live:

  • Anywhere in the US is fine but Atlanta would be preferred.
