About the Role

As Senior Data Scientist, Product Analytics at Coalition you will be responsible for measuring, understanding, and helping optimize Coalition’s largest revenue channel. You will use analytics, experimentation, and modern statistical techniques to help us understand and improve our cyber insurance customer experience in order to grow our revenue in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires an ability to partner with our head of revenue and other key stakeholders to quickly identify emerging trends in our customer data and effectively communicate clear, actionable strategies across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional projects using quantitative analysis and advanced data modeling to discover insights that will guide strategic operational decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
  • Influence product leadership & make our operations more efficient with data-backed recommendations, tracking OKRs etc
  • Ability to understand, measure, and empathize with the customer’s end to end journey
  • Ability to use data to identify gaps/problems in our customer’s journey and propose potential solutions.
  • Lead the design and delivery of data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics that support key product decisions.
  • Ability to analyze disparate data sources and synthesize into a narrative of what is happening in the data
  • Training/mentorship of junior employees.
  • Contribute and grow the culture of data excellence on our team by bringing mature empathy, best practices, and processes to our organization.

Skills and Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in related analytical, data science or consulting background
  • Demonstrated experience influencing partners in product, operations etc
  • Expert SQL proficiency with proven competencies in designing well-architected data models, optimizing for query performance, and clearly documenting code
  • Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units.
  • Work in Tableau, Looker, or similar visualization / business intelligence platform
  • Experience with DBT, Airflow or similar analytics workflow tools a big plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex topics to non-technical audiences

  • Experience with operational tools and business systems such as Amplitude, Google Analytics, Marketo, Salesforce, Segment, or Zuora a big plus

  • Coalition’s individual pay is determined on several factors, including but not limited to, location, level, skills and experience. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000 - $205,000, and your recruiter can share more on target salary for your location during the interview process.
