The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team is looking for a Financial Analytics Engineer to build scalable technology solutions with broad impact for our growing global organization.

As a Financial Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for streamlining reporting and analysis within the FP&A organization. You will work with Accounting, Revenue Operations, and other supporting organizations to optimize and automate financial reporting and modeling. The position requires strong business partnering skills, financial reporting, planning and modeling skills, and good business acumen. It also requires the ability to understand the big picture of the Company’s financial model, while being very detail oriented. The position will report into the Senior Manager, FP&A.

Responsibilities

    • Build transformed and derived data models to support reporting and analysis
    • Build downstream derived tables for business analysis; setting up and maintaining the jobs to populate these tables
    • Assist with forecasting, month/quarter-end close, and annual plan processes
    • Optimize and automate financial modeling and reporting for upper management
    • Partner with multiple broader organizations to drive process and systematic improvements across the organization.
    • Identify gaps in data collection and collaborate with stakeholders on data capture specifications. 
    • Support finance team in “as-required" quarterly close procedures, BOD presentations, and other high-priority work.
    • Work with the team and key business partners to define and create reporting dashboards

Requirements

    • 3+ years of full-time work experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or similar role
    • Highly skilled in SQL, templating languages, and manipulating multiple data formats
    • Experience with ETL processes to transform data, set up and schedule jobs (dbt, Python, cron)
    • Hands-on experience working with very large datasets, including statistical analyses, data visualization, data mining, and data cleansing and transformation
    • Hands-on experience with data model development and reporting in data visualization tools such as Tableau.
    • Experience in data development and analytics in one of the following areas: Revenue, P&L, accounting.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders and the technology team.
    • High level of precision and attention to detail.
    • Proactive, self-motivated, and can work independently with strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Finance experience in high-growth environments, B2B Enterprise, or SaaS experience.
    • Experience with Netsuite, Salesforce, and Anaplan.
    • Self-starter that is capable of driving business results without significant supervision and effective in dealing with ambiguity.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Extremely well organized, data-driven, and comfortable managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
    • M.S. in Data Analytics or related field/MBA.
