As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Recsys), you will play an instrumental role in advancing our core machine learning solution and infrastructure. Responsibilities

  • You will work end-to-end from data analysis to building scalable models and deploying them to production as commercial products that meet the needs of our clients
  • Work on recommender-system related challenges such as creating models that learn user profiles, work on ranking problems, and figure out how to evaluate model performance offline and online
  • See through feature release to measurement of tangible business value in a six-weekly release cycle
  • Collaborate with data engineers and platform engineers on advancing our ML platform to continuously improve Movable Ink’s ML development experience.

 

Requirements

  • 6+ years SWE experience, including 3+ years of machine learning experience
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related technical field
  • Experience building and training models using common deep learning frameworks (we use PyTorch), as well as other typical scientific and ML libraries in Python (sklearn, XGBoost, etc.)
  • Expertise building production recommender systems
  • Expertise with traditional machine learning frameworks (sklearn, XGBoost, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of machine learning theory and fundamentals
  • Solid software engineering skills (design, unit testing, git, code review, CI/CD)
  • Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks (SQL, PySpark)
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (GCP)
  • Able to collaborate with ML researchers, product managers, and other engineering teams
  • A desire to always be learning and contributing to a collaborative environment

 

The base pay range for this position is $180,000 - $220,000 USD/year, which can include additional on-target commission pay/bonus. The base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Stock options and other incentive pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position ultimately offered.
