You have a solid foundation in software engineering, sound design principles, good code habits, and experience developing and deploying machine learning  models into production. You are a Software Engineer with Data Science experience or a Data Scientist with Software Engineering experience. You have defined standards and practices for previous Data Science teams. You have served as a mentor to junior team members (e.g., other MLEs and data scientists) in teaching best practices when it comes to code hygiene, systems design, service development/deployment, as well as model / service monitoring (telemetry).  You thrive in an environment of innovation; where best practices and referenceable design patterns may not exist entirely in literature.  You enjoy collaborating with both data scientists and software engineering teams to co-design new systems to drive business outcomes and new consumer experiences!

As Drizly’s ML Engineer, you will be architecting core services that have a solid foundation for others to build on. Given the latency requirements of a number of our personalization machine learning services, there will be a big emphasis on interacting seamlessly with Product and Data Engineering. This person will also be responsible for implementing engineering solutions for Data Science outputs end to end including CI/CD, Scaling, Logging, Monitoring of Services, Modeling work, Product integration, E2E testing, and defining SLAs between microservices. 

In this role you will:

• Design and deploy real-time personalization services that drive unique consumer experiences (platform features and/or real-time personalized advertising experiences) 
• Design and deploy  service pattern to integrate new search rank algorithms into our search service 
• Co-design enhancements and reuse of reinforcement learning framework for hyperlocal personalization 
• Participate in data science roadmapping sessions to co-create new opportunities to leverage ML do drive consumer, retailer, and brand experiences 
• Be a thought leader in MLOps path to production patterns and underlying tooling & infrastructure 
• Coach and mentor junior team members in becoming more versed in ML engineering best practices and techniques

For Colorado-based roles: The salary/hourly rate range for this role is $162,200 per year - $190,800 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Drizly's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award, commissions, & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
