  • Collaborate with a high-performing, experienced team who've founded, built and exited startups. You'd be a valued peer alongside data engineering, design, product and software engineering team members.


The Role

  • You’ll join the founding Data Science Team of an exciting new data/next gen accounting system startup, with funding in place and validated customer demand.
  • You will have the opportunity to set up our end-to-end ML framework to enable both rapid experimentation and production integration with Data Engineering, Dev and Business Intelligence services.
  • You will design and drive the interfaces with other teams, both technical and human.
  • You’ll work on the MVP of our product alongside our Data Engineering and Dev teams.
  • You will be working with financial and accounting data from source through to the myriad applications of the data.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing, deploying and maintaining ML models for both tabular and free-text data, with expertise in NLP and graph-based approaches a strong plus.
  • Experience with MLOps, with DataOps or business-intelligence experience a strong plus.
  • Experience in deploying production-standard code (including Python and SQL on cloud).
  • Experience with data oriented software development, including a firm grasp of modern development practices.
  • Experience with ML frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, tensorflow, scikit-learn), (distributed) computational frameworks (e.g. PySpark, dask, numpy) and ML lifecycle frameworks (e.g. Weights & Biases, MLflow, VertexAI, tf-extended), with experience in ML data frameworks (e.g. GreatExpectations, DVC) a strong plus.
  • Experience in effectively bridging communications between Data Engineering and Dev teams.
  • Experience being part of a high-growth startup or tech company.

  • Salary: Up to £120k p.a. + option package.
