Virta is the first company with a clinically-proven treatment to safely and sustainably reverse type-2 diabetes without the use of medications or surgery. Our innovations in nutritional biochemistry, data science and digital tools combined with our clinical expertise are shifting the diabetes treatment paradigm from management to reversal. Our mission: reverse type 2 diabetes in 100 million people by 2025.

This role is an opportunity to lead the design and refinement of foundational compensation and people analytics practices, policies and processes in partnership with Virta’s leadership for an organization that is focused on impactful work such as variable compensation standardization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in cross-functional projects such as sales compensation; providing subject matter expertise, compensation modellings and cost projections
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on broad array of compensation matters, including market pricing/survey participation, job evaluation/matching, salary architecture and wage compliance
  • Lead and execute upon the creation of a data and metrics framework to support overarching people strategy and provide actionable insights to People team and organization leaders
  • Partner with business leaders and within the People Operations team on  these compensation and analytics projects and workflows
  • Participate in broader Total Rewards and People initiatives as needed
  • Lead a Team focused on compensation and analytics

90 Day Plan

Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:

  • Familiarize yourself with Virta’s compensation and people analytics current state
  • Perform a gap analysis on the aforementioned areas
  • Take on leading the programmatic and operational work within the areas of compensation and people analytics

Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of experience within compensation including in-depth knowledge of US base compensation, variable short, and long term incentive compensation design and administration
  • Data driven analytics approach and fluency; attention to detail
  • Communication skills to partner with and influence decision makers
  • Comfort with ambiguity; you will be creating policies and processes!
  • Project management and time management skills to effectively own multiple concurrent work streams 
  •  Consultative skills to partner with stakeholders on discovery and solutioning
