About the role:

The marketing analytics team at Cameo works at the intersection of marketing and data science, driving top-line growth for the company. The ideal candidate for this position will be entrepreneurial and independent while being effective at collaborating with multiple cross functional teams. The ideal candidate should also be comfortable in a startup environment, with the ability to prioritize incoming tasks quickly and effectively.

We are seeking a senior analyst with knowledge of digital marketing combined with excellent analytical abilities to determine where and how to spend incremental marketing dollars for delivering the highest return to the business.  

What you’ll do:

  • Provide analytical support to Cameo’s marketing team to allocate resources to different channels.  Work closely with the marketing team to determine the best way to test various theories. 
  • Support email and brand marketing teams; determining marketing effectiveness of various branding and engagement strategies. 
  • Maintain and develop our growth marketing reporting processes and tools, including the creation of dashboards and reports to track daily performance.  
  • Uplevel marketing team’s data skills, democratizing access to marketing data and be an advocate for an increased adoption for data access and reporting
  • Work cross-functionally with the data engineering team to ensure data quality and timeliness of marketing data tables and dashboards.
  • Research and evaluate opportunities in analytics, onboard new vendors, test new products and tools that improve our ability to discover and act upon new insights.

 What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience in growth analytics, digital marketing, consulting, or financial analysis.
  • Significant experience using SQL to extract and manipulate data is required.
  • Demonstrated experience using spreadsheets and/or dashboarding tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.) to analyze marketing performance and forecast future growth.
  • Strong experience with either 3rd party or in-house pipelining tools to automate pulling marketing data from various platforms and APIs (Fivetran, DBT, custom python scripting, etc.) 
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling and quantitative analysis techniques.  Strong bonus for experience with the development and usage of in-house attribution and media mix models. 
  • Strong background in defining and understanding key marketing metrics, and designing tests to improve them. 
  • Experience with paid search and/or paid social channels and tools: AdWords, Facebook, etc. “Backend” experience (scripts, APIs, Python, R) is a strong plus.
  • Experience with incrementality measurement -- creating and implementing causal inference models for the marketing team to use. 
  • Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills. Ability to work between teams, functions with high autonomy and limited guidance.

  • Passionate about the role of data in helping solve complex questions
  • Demonstrated passion for building products that delight customers and drive their success
  • Experience working at, or strong understanding of, a 2-sided marketplace business
  • ‘What’s right for the business’ mindset, ‘hypothesis first’ approach to defining and solving problems.  
  • Experience design and executing A/B tests for a large marketing team. 
  • History of proven success (progressive career, promotions, etc), and ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous work environment
  • Passion for Cameo; Ability to adapt to a culture of an ever-growing rocketship company that embraces and commits to change
