As a member of Raya’s machine learning team, you will play a pivotal role in our recommendations-first experience by using your deep knowledge of machine learning and our products to create a better experience for all users.
In this role, you will:
- Build machine learning and AI products that drive personalized recommendations.
- Collaborate with Product and Analytics to gain a deep understanding of our products and thoughtfully design the best solutions.
- Collaborate with Backend and Data Engineers to help build out our ML platform, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and robustness of our systems.
- Use practical experience to know when straightforward heuristics and rules are more effective than deploying full-scale ML/AI solutions
- Contribute to the continuous learning culture at Raya by staying updated with industry trends and knowledge sharing with the team.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning with a proven track record of shipping successful products. Experience with recommendation systems is a big plus.
- Strong Python and SQL knowledge; ability to write clean, well-documented code
- Experience with high-scale software applications (distributed data, Spark, kubernetes) and rigorous testing/QA.
- Familiarity with a broad range of common ML frameworks/libraries (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, etc).
- Experience with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS and GCP, particularly their ML, data, and compute services.
- Familiarity with modern ML tooling and operations is a big plus, e.g. ML platforms (SageMaker, Databricks), MLOps tools (MLFlow, Kubeflow, W&B), and feature stores (Tecton, Feast).
- An analytical mindset: comfortable analyzing data and grokking complex products.
