We're looking for an organized and impact-driven People Data Analyst to join our team and improve the Toaster experience. The People Analytics team is responsible for ensuring that all people decisions are informed by data and research. This role provides a great opportunity to understand the inner workings of a People Team and play an active role in how people data can be used to advance business objectives.

 

About this roll* (Responsibilities)

  • Work with leaders across the People Team and beyond to better understand their data and reporting needs and develop a plan to address those needs over time.
  • Develop consistent and reliable reporting practices and dashboards to increase visibility and knowledge around our people data.
  • Own reporting for a number of cross-people priority areas including performance management, learning and development, diversity and inclusion and internal doughbility.
  • Use data visualization programs, tools, and techniques to generate dashboards, reports and presentations that aid in data storytelling, understanding and interpretation of trends and patterns of business importance.
  • Conduct analysis to help us better understand patterns within the data and trends over time.
  • Work alongside HRBP's and People Team members to answer their questions and inform their practices with data.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to share insights and recommendations based on your data insights.
  • Analyze survey data to help us better understand the impact of particular change moments in an employee journey.
  • Participate in ad-hoc people analytics projects related to hiring, retention, and employee engagement.
  • Understand the opportunities and challenges of working with people data in a fast-moving organization and identify ways to make immediate and real business impact through your analysis and recommendations.

 

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • Detail and action-oriented approach with strong reporting, visualization and analytical abilities
  • 2-3+ years of experience building reports and dashboards in Tableau (or equivalent BI visualization tool) to help streamline the sharing of information
  • 2-3+ years of experience aggregating, joining, and transforming complex datasets with SQL in Snowflake (or equivalent data warehouse)
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Suite products (Docs, Slides, & Sheets) or Office equivalent
  • Experience auditing and quality checking large datasets
  • Strong project and time management skills with a proven track record of good judgment and discretion given the exposure to people data
  • Exposure to conducting statistical analysis using R or Python
  • Experience working with both structured and unstructured datasets
  • Interest in advancing one’s own knowledge and skill around people data and analytics
  • Self-motivated, hard-working, and interested in making an impact
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, changing environment and to adapt while focusing on key goals and objectives
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential employee data
  • Ability to tell stories with data and shape content for multiple audiences
