Found is building business banking services for the 60M (and growing!) self-employed people in the U.S. We handle business banking, expense tracking, and taxes so that our customers can focus on doing what they love.
As a Data Analyst, you will partner closely with our Engineering, Product, Risk Operations, and Customer Experience teams to build products that help self-employed people navigate the challenges of working independently.
What you will be working on
In this role, you will have the opportunity to dive in and immediately make an impact by proactively identifying emerging trends, gaps, and opportunities across the Found business. You’re excited to dig into the data, and can easily communicate findings to a wide variety of stakeholders.
Day to day, you will:
Partner with Product to influence the roadmap by identifying trends and gaps in product performance on an ongoing basis.
Size expected impact of product features, report on performance, and recommend improvements. Share feature & product performance across the team.
Build dashboards to empower the entire Found team with more relevant and timely information.
Complete deep one-off investigative analyses to better understand our users and their behavior, as well as identify new opportunities we should be considering as a company.
Propose, design, and evaluate experiments to test hypotheses and continually improve our product experience.
Create operational and business forecasts (e.g. new bank accounts, card shipments, total card spend) to support planning and company-wide goal-setting.
Create tools and reporting for our risk team. Dig into fraud cases to inform the team and identify new signals.
About you
We come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, and we don’t believe that a checklist of qualifications is the best way to predict success. Instead, we are looking for passionate and motivated team members who are excited to bring what they have to the table and ready to learn from their peers.
You have:
4+ years professional experience as a data analyst, with experience partnering closely with risk, growth, and/or product teams.
Deep comfort and familiarity with data analysis and experimentation--you’re a SQL wizard and have had previous experience with more complex growth & A/B test analyses.
Experience with defining dashboarding requirements, bringing them to life, and using them to empower teams with information and create operational efficiencies.
Able to distill product and business questions into analyses and back again. A great communicator, with strong in-person & written communication skills. You can effectively communicate your results across a variety of technical and non-technical audiences and know how to form hypotheses about the business, dig into the data, and use the results to structure an accurate and relevant story.
Driver mindset--you are an owner and a hustler, always pushing for improved visibility into the state of our product, our customers, and our business. You bring the team along with you by regularly sharing insights with the entire Found team.
Excited about being a part of building out an analytics team in a rapidly growing start-up.
You may also have:
A background in data analysis, business, or finance.
Previous startup experience and/or demonstrated flexibility, initiative, and founder-focused mentality necessary to be successful in a startup environment.
Interest or experience in accounting, bookkeeping, taxes, or self-employment.
