Senior Product Analyst, Product & Technology Analytics

Senior Product Analyst, Product & Technology Analytics

Job Description

Construction impacts the lives of nearly everyone in the world, and yet it’s also one of the world’s least digitized industries. That’s why we’re looking for a talented Senior Product Analyst, Product & Technology Analytics to join Procore’s journey to revolutionize a historically underserved industry. Get in on the ground floor of this industry's digital transformation!

As a Senior Product Analyst, Product & Technology Analytics, you’ll partner closely with our Product, User Experience, Engineering, and Information Technology teams to turn data into advanced analytics and insights that guide and support the development, execution, and effectiveness of our Product strategy.

The ideal candidate will have experience with advanced analytics and product insights, strong stakeholder management skills, Product or strategy experience, and the analytical ability to process and make sense of large-scale data sets. If you’re a team player with a passion for Product development and a strong penchant for data, we’d love to hear from you.

This position will report to our Analytics Manager, Product & Technology and can work remotely from any U.S location or based in our headquarters in Carpinteria, CA, or our Austin, TX office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you'll do:

  • Own Product analytics for one of the primary pillars of our multi-year Product strategy, via top-level technical capability, analytical skill, and business acumen.

  • Manage stakeholders (Product Managers, UX Designers, Engineers, and Designers) through the process of identifying, building, and executing hypothesis-driven products. Join quantitative and qualitative data together to produce actionable insight and stories. Provide thought leadership and strategic support to Product stakeholders.

  • Determine business requirements and priorities, define key performance indicators, and identify and curate projects to ensure that they are the best fit for the problem at hand. Facilitate information gathering, structured documentation and analysis, and presentation of findings to all levels of management.

  • Communicate technical principles to non-technical audiences, with a clear tie to business context, goals, and strategy.

  • Provide data that is accurate, harmonious, and reliable, and ensure the information is readily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems.

  • Educate and train internal customers to use data as an analytical tool.

  • Design and document analyses, dashboards, and reports.

What we're looking for:

  • 6+ years in a Product/Data analytics role with strong problem-solving skills. MBA and/or consulting experience is a huge plus.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Management, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics or specialized training/certification), or equivalent work experience.

  • Self-starter with experience devising and testing hypotheses and implementing research plans, with a proven track record driving meaningful decisions and business outcomes by collaborating with senior leaders and key stakeholders.

  • Is a creative and flexible thinker who enjoys understanding and deriving meaning from multi-layered situations and deriving actionable business insights from complex data and strategy settings.

  • SQL and dbt with an understanding of ETL.

  • Tableau, or similar BI/Data Visualization tool.

  • Preferred experience with Amplitude and other behavioral analytics tools.

  • A/B and statistical significance testing methods.

  • Preferred experience in applied statistics, and preferred familiarity in developing accurate predictive models and other data science techniques.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to present strong data-driven storylines and content to both general and senior audiences.
