The Machine Learning Integration team is responsible for integrating Machine Learning projects into our core marketplace systems. We work closely with the Machine Learning Engineering team as well as the broader engineering team to maximize the impact of ML at GOAT. This is an opportunity to join as an early member of this team and help shape its direction.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with Machine Learning engineers on supporting development and integration of Machine Learning models into our GOAT marketplace systems
  • Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks
  • Identify opportunities for improving KPIs using Machine Learning Models
  • Coordinate and communicate seamlessly across other technical and product teams
  • Be a helpful and supportive presence on the team, contributing to code reviews and other team processes

We are looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering with Ruby (Python, Go, PHP, or Java is ok too)
  • Experience with web application frameworks such as Ruby on Rails (other MVC frameworks okay too)
  • Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Familiar and comfortable with the technologies, the tradeoffs, and the design patterns emerging in web services
  • Someone interested in making a large impact on real world business problems.
  • A quick learner, a self-starter, able to work autonomously, and you're willing (and able) to handle the pressures of an increasing level of responsibility
  • Aspire to grow as a person, as a teammate, and as an engineer, and help others grow
  • General interest in Machine Learning and data
  • BS degree preferred
