We’re looking for a Senior Staff Data Scientist, Product Manager to help define the future of Webflow’s data strategy by building a deep understanding of how our customers create for the web with our product. You’ll partner directly with other key functions (like product management, user research, finance, sales, marketing) to identify and size product opportunities, partner with product engineering on quantitative success criteria, and may even define product requirements/customer experiences as Webflow brings data-rich experiences to our customers.
This is a player/coach role. Beyond these responsibilities, you will be expected to help create and deliver insights that bridge research and data accurately reflecting the voice of the customer, define and evangelize best practices in metric and model development, develop data sets and dashboards that drive self-service insights, and mentor more junior ICs to grow their careers as one of the most senior leaders of the Data & Insights team.

Roadmap the vision and strategy for Webflow’s data needs across the company, clearly articulating requirements, timing, and trade-offs for key initiatives that require support from the Insights team

Enable the Insights teams (Data Science, UXR, Analytics) to think strategically with key stakeholders about how customers engage with Webflow, identifying and executing on high impact growth opportunities with actionable insights

Define product and business success metrics, building tools for monitoring and surfacing drivers of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

Lead technical and non-technical team members with processes and technical expertise for executing experiments, answering open ended business questions with data, and researching levers for improving our product,

Develop our data foundation, experimentation and machine learning capabilities, collaborating on our strategic roadmap for building new pipelines and tools that contribute to our connected, complete understanding of our customer journey and improve our customer experience. We currently use Snowflake, DBT, Tableau, and Fivetran and are working with our Data Engineering collaborators on scaling our platform capabilities with a number of other tools!

About you
You’ll thrive as a Senior Staff Data Scientist if you:

Have 10+ years of experience in a Data Science (or similar) position

Have a background in SaaS and building out analyses for PLG and Enterprise SaaS businesses

Have interest and experience in mentoring and developing the technical skills of your team members, helping to build a collaborative data science practice

Thrive collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment, solving complex and nuanced problems

Have A+ communication skills and are comfortable communicating messages to technical and non-technical audiences with clear and compelling communication

Have a passion for understanding the needs of our customers and communicating those needs clearly through data storytelling

Curious about diving into the nuances of our business and product data

Have demonstrated experience working as a Data Scientist (or the equivalent in quantitative analysis), contributing to the strategic roadmap, providing high quality, reproducible analysis that impacts company strategy and decision making, building tools to enable scalable processes and enabling others to do the same

Have expertise in applied statistics (e.g. predictive modeling, hypothesis testing, regressions), segmentation and experimentation (e.g. A/B testing) in an industry setting and the ability to explain concepts to technical and non-technical team members

Have proficiency in SQL, and experience with a programming language like Python or R
