Are you a Developer with good knowledge of the Web environment and who is passionate about Machine Learning, Javascript and more? Does your vision of the internet include users having control of their identities and data?

Join Dashlane as a Software Engineer Intern and take part in a mission to create the fastest and most accurate autofill in the industry!

About the role:

At the intersection of Software Engineering and Machine Learning Engineering, you will be challenged in many different ways. Data collection tools need to be constantly maintained and improved in order to build a large dataset with highly reliable annotations. You will be asked to build training pipelines and ship models that match the right level of accuracy and efficiency into the Dashlane extension. Ultimately, you will be in charge of maintaining embedded Javascript code around the model that is required to make it work in production.

For all of this, you will closely collaborate with Software Engineers and ML Engineers of the team. You will have opportunities to learn about cutting-edge web technologies, sharpen your understanding of various algorithms and get experience in pushing models into production: all of this via team collaboration, pair programming and internal training. Also, you will be encouraged to share knowledge about Machine Learning across different teams within the company.

This 6-month end-of-study internship is a great opportunity to gain experience by applying Machine Learning in the context of a large product, using cutting-edge technologies, while being mentored by more senior engineers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to Machine Learning workflows (data collection tools and databases, model training pipelines, integrations into the Dashlane web extension)
  • Experimenting with new models on existing problems, finding the right balance between efficiency, accuracy and interpretability
  • Helping with research opportunities by building tools, reproducing experiments and reading state-of-the-art model papers
  • Maintaining the in-production codebase around the models to improve the overall user experience

Location-specific information:

You will be based in France (remote work is accepted), with English as your main working language.

The internship start date will be between March and April 2022.

We're looking for an intern who:

  • Is completing a Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Is seeking to work at the intersection of Software and Machine Learning Engineering
  • Has good knowledge in Machine Learning, Python and frameworks like Scikit-Learn/Keras
  • Has an interest in JavaScript and embedding Machine Learning within web applications
  • Has a strong interest in data privacy and online security
