Location: Greater Washington D.C. Area or Remote 

At one of our incubation companies, we are building a product suite to supercharge cybersecurity analysts. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for building production machine learning models and the infrastructure to support these models within our product.  

What You Will Do: 

  • Design, Develop, and Deploy Models (especially LLMs): A significant part of your role will be focused on the creation and deployment of large language models. This includes understanding the requirements, designing the models, coordinating with data engineers for requisite data, and implementing these models into production. You will also be responsible for developing other models based on product needs. 
  • Collaborate within a Cross-Functional Team: Work closely with product managers, product developers, threat analysts, data scientists, and other engineers to understand the business requirements and translate them into ML solutions. 
  • Develop ML Infrastructure: Build and operationalize our infrastructure used for ML development, and ensure that it is efficient, scalable, and reliable. 
  • Keep Pace with Research: Keep up with the latest research in machine learning, large language models, and cyber security and find ways to implement new findings into our core technology. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Masters/PhD (or Bachelor’s with equivalent experience) in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or related field, or equivalent work experience 
  • 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or data analytics including experience in Masters/PhD
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Python, R, or Scala 
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn 
  • Production experience with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP 

Bonus Points: 

  • Experience training and tuning LLMs/LFMs, or having developed other production-grade language models 
  • Familiarity with security concepts, tools, and solutions, such as threat detection, vulnerability scanning, encryption, or authentication 
  • Experience with machine learning using graph or network-based data
