EZT is seeking a Sr. Analytics Engineer to lead and execute on our data modeling efforts with our world class data tech stack including dbt, BigQuery, Fivetran, and Apache Airflow. You will serve as an internal consultant to our Business Intelligence Analysts and Data Engineers. This position reports to the Director of Data & Analytics.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute on the implementation and continued success of dbt
- Build data models and complex, modularized SQL queries using dbt with an eye towards performance, maintainability, and scalability
- Apply software engineering practices (e.g. code review, testing, version control) when creating new datasets to ensure data quality across our pipelines and BI tools
- Provide job orchestration best practices
- Provide insight into basic strategies for database architecture
- Work closely with the Business Intelligence team and business teams to understand their use cases and provide clean, transformed data ready for analysis and reporting
- Work with data engineering to construct and implement architectural data solutions
- Train admins, developers, and end users on platform best practices
- Create technical documentation
- Support others through leadership and mentoring
Requirements:
- Expert at dbt, including demonstrated success leading the initial implementation
- 5+ years’ experience in SQL & Data Analysis
- Experience with Kimball Methodology for data warehouse design
- Experience building ETL workflows
- Exposure to projects with complex orchestration pipelines
- Experience with Relational Database structures
- Working knowledge of GCP & BigQuery, Fivetran, Apache Airflow, Tableau and/or Looker, Census, and Jira/Confluence
- Experience with Agile methodologies and a desire to work on a cross-functional Scrum team
- Experience working for a SaaS company in a startup environment
- Ability to work in the USA without sponsorship

Compensation: 120-150k base (depending on location & experience) + bonus + stock options
