We are hiring an Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst for E-commerce to enable us to better understand how to grow our online channel. In this role you’ll partner with the product, marketing, and engineering teams to develop insights into customer behavior and identify opportunities for further product development. This role is best suited for someone who is inquisitive, likes to solve problems, and excels in a highly collaborative organization. 

What you'll do here:

    • Partner with our marketing, product and engineering teams to analyze, optimize, build, and develop Lovepop’s ecommerce analytics infrastructure. Along the way, you’ll look at what we are measuring, why we are measuring it, and how we should evolve our analytics.
    • You’ll design, build, and quality check internal facing dashboards intended for KPI monitoring and data exploration. This will be an ongoing process, and you’ll need to think of how these dashboards should evolve to keep pace with the business. 
    • Support marketing, product, and business analytics teams with the investigation of in-depth ad hoc analyses related to website performance.
    • Analyze data to create new hypotheses/insights to share with business teams. Create and deliver both presentations to walk business teams through findings, and over time use these to create buy-in from the teams. 
    • Train and educate partners on our data layer and tools, working towards self-service BI capabilities.

What you'll bring to the table:

    • Reporting and analytics skills with the ability to work through complex problems; capable of anticipating and identifying the many moving parts of new features.
    • Entrepreneurial and detailed mindset, with a bias for customer focused innovation, leveraging data wherever possible.
    • Experience working in and contributing to ETL or ELT frameworks for data transformation
    • Analytics skills of transforming business requirements into the work needed across data modelling, data visualization, and analysis
    • Experience working in ecommerce or website interaction based analytics.
    • Experience and a solid understanding of Agile product development
    • Strong background working with SQL and writing complex queries, and at least one enterprise level data visualization tool.
    • Highly skilled in building complex SQL queries.
    • Must have experience in at least one data visualization tool - we use Sigma.
    • BA/BS in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, computer science, mathematics required, MA/MS preferred.

You'll be great if you have:

    • 5+ years in data analytics or data science experience within a B-C company.
    • 3+ years of experience partnering with e-commerce focused teams and functions. Here, you’ll partner with leadership to drive insights around our ecommerce performance, previous experience in this area is a must.
    • Ability to synthesize analysis requirements from a discussion, and drive results to stakeholders in both an iterative partner based model, and a formal presentation based model.
    • Understanding of how user funnels work, what KPIs matter and how to impact them.
    • Expertise in using data analytics and A/B testing to identify improvement opportunities.
