A Senior Data Analyst - Analytics Engineer in the Data Team is responsible for leading the construction of our data models in a sustainable and scalable way in accordance with engineering best practices such as version control, reusability, testing, and monitoring.
In addition, we focus on finding individuals who are:

This role reports to the Team Lead, Data, and is responsible for providing guidance and enforcing best practices for the data team.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for data modelling.
- Build data models that will be used by teams across the company.
- Establish modelling best practices for the team.
- Assist the product manager with gathering requirements from stakeholders for the construction of models, explores (Looker), and reports.
- Insist on data quality through testing and documentation.
- Assist in breaking down work into deliverable increments.
Requirements:
- University degree or college diploma in a recognized technical, vocational or academic program (preferably in Engineering or Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of work experience in a data-oriented role (analyst, engineer, scientist, or equivalent).
- 4+ years of experience in hands-on data analysis experience using medium to complex level SQL.
- 4+ years of experience in data modelling.
- 2+ years of experience with a cloud data warehouse (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- 2+ years of experience maintaining a data project.
- 2+ years of experience building and maintaining data models in dbt.
- 2+ years of experience with a BI Tool (e.g. Looker, Periscope, Sisense, Power BI).
- Proficiency with office communication/optimization tools such as Google Suites, Zoom, Slack.
- A passion for clean, reusable, and structured code.
