Job Summary:

Disney General Entertainment Content (DGE) ― the television production arm of The Walt Disney Company ― is seeking a Senior Analyst to manage and maintain data warehouses of TV program viewership data that feed all reports and analyses for DGE senior executives.  The ideal candidate will also support the design and build of new reporting solutions as business needs arise.  Beyond data architecture, this candidate assists in all program performance analysis that the team delivers daily to DGE executives.  The ideal candidate will be joining a collegial, collaborative team that values excellence.  An affinity for FX’s original series is a plus (e.g., Snowfall, American Horror Story, Reservation Dogs, Atlanta, DAVE, What We Do in the Shadows, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia).

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and improve data and warehousing processes:  data acquisition, ingestion, cleaning, processing, warehousing, and documentation.
  • Evaluate data processes and technologies; recommend and implement new solutions.
  • Maintain and build reports that are published daily, weekly, monthly, and on demand.
  • Produce analyses and supporting data sets to answer executives’ questions.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years’ professional experience as a data architect, building data warehouses, dashboards, and reports from scratch for executives. 
  • A minimum of 2 years’ professional experience with SQL and an excellent understanding of relational and multi-dimensional database structures and database management.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including experience with lookups, arrays, pivot tables, conditional formulas, and VBA/macros.
  • Experience with cloud-based data warehouses and related ETL technology integrations.
  • Experience developing and maintaining ETL workflows and data cleaning processes.
  • Must demonstrate ability to learn new data technologies quickly and to build automated dashboards/reports from scratch in Excel and Tableau.
  • Proficiency in algebra and statistics required.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Must be extraordinarily organized and detail oriented.
  • Must have analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with large datasets preferred.
  • SQL certification preferred.
  • Experience with Snowflake preferred.
  • Professional experience with Tableau and Adobe Analytics (Data Warehouse, Workspace, Report Builder) preferred.
  • Knowledge of digital and linear video measurement and machine learning a plus.

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technologically/mathematically intensive discipline required (e.g. statistics, business analytics, data science, mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics, or business with an emphasis in technology).  Information Systems degree preferred.
