We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to join our Enterprise Data product teams. The Senior Data Architect will collaborate with stakeholders and engineers in ensuring data solutions align with business objectives and support scalable and efficient data management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex data models to support build out of Modern Enterprise Data Foundation that will power reports, analytics, and experience.

Job Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop and implement scalable, efficient, and high-performance data models for Modern Data Stack that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, and business users, to understand data needs and translate them into robust data architecture solutions..
  • Design logical and physical data models and maintain data dictionaries, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.
  • Perform data profiling, analysis, and validation to identify data quality issues and recommend solutions.
  • Define and enforce data standards, best practices, and data quality guidelines across the organization.
  • Evaluate and optimize database structures and queries for performance improvements.
  • Lead data integration, migration, and transformation efforts, ensuring seamless data flow and compatibility between systems.
  • Participate in data governance and data management initiatives, ensuring compliance with data standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in data architecture, big data, and data analytics
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members on data modeling best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:  

 Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) working as a Data Modeler or Data Architect, handling large-scale data projects.
  • Expertise in data modeling, database design, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, ER Studio, or similar) and SQL database technologies.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling techniques (e.g., dimensional modeling, entity-relationship diagrams).
  • Experience with data governance frameworks, data quality management, and metadata management.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, DataBricks, Snowflake, Kafka) and big data technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

 Preferred: 

  • Financial Services or Wealth Management industry experience
