As a Senior Data Engineer, you will report to the Lead Data Engineer and will:

  • Collaborate on developing services that underpin predictive models, enhancing lending decisioning, underwriting operations and risk optimization for our product.
  • Play a pivotal role in setting up Data Infrastructure and building a solid foundation for efficient data management, governance and observability.
  • Develop data models and schemas optimized for business analytics and reporting.
  • Create frameworks and abstractions that empower Data Scientists, Analysts, and Engineers to build efficient and reliable data pipelines.
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining automated data pipelines that facilitate seamless data flow for analysis and model development.

Experiences you will bring with you: 

We welcome candidates with diverse perspectives and experiences to contribute to our data engineering excellence. Your qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of professional development experience building and optimizing data pipelines and architecture encompassing microservices, databases, monitoring, and scalability.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Scala, Python
  • Extensive experience with OLTP databases (e.g., Postgresql) and OLAP databases (e.g., Snowflake) and DBT tool
  • Proficiency in data pipeline management and using orchestration frameworks like Apache Airflow
  • Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud technologies (AWS S3, EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, DMS, SNS, EMR) and infrastructure tools like Terraform.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Engineers.
  • Dedication to creating frameworks and tools that simplify and enhance the data pipeline development process.
  • Solid understanding of data security, encryption, and compliance practices
  • A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in data engineering and technology.
