As an early member of the Data team, you will significantly influence the company’s data foundations and best practices. We’re looking for a data engineer who will partner with the product and the rest of the engineering team to build up data foundations and products that would power science and analytics efforts across the company. You will work in a data-driven and creative team, owning and developing data solutions at scale.
What you'll be doing:
Build and maintain the data warehouse using modern open-source and third-party solutions
Develop data ELT/ETL pipelines to enable reliable business insights and downstream analytics use cases
Design and standardize metrics and applications to ensure consistent analysis and reporting of the data insights across organizations
Partner with data scientists and product managers to develop scalable data solutions for new product features and underlying ML models and algorithms
Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive best practices in data life cycle management and processes
What you'll need:
2+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a related role
Experience with the data warehouse (Snowflake or BigQuery), data ELT/ETL pipelines, and tools (e.g. dbt)
Proficient in data modeling, SQL, and query optimization
Proficient in one or more programming languages (Python, Java, Scala)
Experience with analytics and BI tools would be a plus
Proven ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams
Self-starter, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, drive change through influence, and collaborate effectively with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders
Excited and hungry to try new tools and processes to achieve results
Passionate about building delightful products for both the internal and external customers
The estimated base compensation for this role is $132,000 - $160,000.
This position may be eligible for additional compensation and benefits including equity, bonus, health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off (including PTO, paid sick leave, medical leave, floating holidays, and paid holidays); and benefits. Actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by law.
