We are looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to bootstrap our ML efforts across the organization. You will take the leading role to design, developing, and productionize ML-based solutions for complex marketplace issues regarding ranking, recommendation, pricing, and many more exciting aspects of our product. You will be in a collaborative and innovative environment partnering with the product and the rest of the engineering team to deliver the impact with the models and systems you build.

What you’ll be doing

  • Initiate and standardize ML workflows using modern open-source and third-party solutions

  • Work across data and services to implement and productionize ML models in the data and engineering stack

  • Build shareable ML frameworks to promote the ML best practices in the org

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build ML models for various product surfaces and improve business decision-making

  • Develop personalized ranking and recommendation engine for Medely’s jobs/assignments posting and notifications

What you’ll need

Ph.D./M.S. in a quantitative field with 2+ years of experience (3+ for staff level) or Bachelor with 5+ years of work experience (7+ for staff level)

  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience (2+ for staff level) building and productionizing end-to-end Machine Learning Systems

  • Deep understanding of ML concepts and algorithms

  • Experience with ranking and recommendation systems would be a plus

  • Proficient in one or more programming languages (Python, Java, Scala)

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams

  • Self-starter, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, drive change through influence, and collaborate effectively with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders

  • Excited and hungry to try new tools and processes to achieve results

  • Passionate about building delightful products for our customers

The estimated compensation for this role is $164,000 to $200,000
